- Oil Painting Restoration
This is for all of you off-springs who can’t claim to be as responsible as Trish, who met me outside of an antique store in early evening hours for me to return her restored oil painting.
Normally, you may speak a lot about values and setting prices on various things that surround your life, but today, we want to talk about your inherited paintings. Have you thought about the perspective of the weight of the value of paintings that are “just” on your walls? With your intensive busy schedule, perhaps it has been easy to ignore precious art that has been passed down to you from previous generations. You may ignore the art work temporarily, but what is happening is that you are creating a borderline that could result in your treasure being lost forever. Don’t allow your misguided values to hinder you from taking the time and effort to care for these true treasures.
Those precious pieces of art are getting dustier, with more grime, and perhaps even the flaking or the tears are getting worse. Perhaps you have even had to take these treasures off of your wall. Those treasured memories are now hidden.
Now may be the perfect time to put the right values in place and preserve the evidence of your family history for future generations.
