Oil Painting Houston Repair Fix Holes Dirty Clean Spill Stain Indented
The oil painting portrait has been in our client’s family for generations. It was originally in Connecticut and moved around the US until it ended up here in Houston. It had quite a few cuts, abrasions, holes, spills, stains, and indented areas, plus it needed cleaning.
The painting was painted horizontally, but it was in an oval frame. Someone had been attempting to clean the oval frame with strong chemicals and the chemicals spilled onto the painting.
When our client saw the painting for the first time after the restoration, she simply said, “Wow, oh wow!” She said it was fabulous and that it was painted possibly 150 years ago and looked brand new. Then she said it was beautiful, perfect, she loved it and it was incredible. She never thought it would look so good because it had been neglected for so long. Our client said that the lady in the painting would be smiling if she could. 🙂
